In 2002, I created the European Club of Corporate
Universities (ECCU) after completing my international
survey on Corporate Universities. With the goal of
uniting professionals from world renown multinational
companies, the ECCU is an influential network of
heads of Corporate Universities, academies and institutes
of Europe. The members connect with their
peers to share experience and know-how on relevant
industry themes; benchmark; learn from best practices;
create long-term convivial exchanges; discover innovative
new trends; share their questions, their doubts and
successes outside business of the market and without
consulting firms. I am particularly pleased by the
richness of this Club and the conviviality which
exists between its members.
The members link together
with their peers to share relevant themes, benchmark,
learn from best practices, have long-term convivial
exchanges, discover innovative new trends, share
their questions, their doubts and successes, outside
business pressure and without consulting firms. I
am particularly pleased by the richness of this Club
and the conviviality which exists between its members.
The ambitious
undertaking I initiated in 2005 is the result
of requests from all over the world by people who wanted
to join The European Club of Corporate Universities.
The demanding work format of this organisation which
functions very well with its five meetings per year,
made it impossible to accept the membership of distant
companies. Rapidly the CU Directors felt the necessity
to create a link with their peers across the world
and to have long-term convivial exchanges with them.
It was therefore necessary to invent another form of
collaborative work in keeping with the needs and constraints.
It is the Council of Corporate Universities which I
created with the support of several corporate university
directors and academicians.
Founded in 2005, the Global Council of Corporate Universities
(GlobalCCU) is a truly global community of Corporate
University professionals. The 2008 GlobalCCU Forum
has been a momentous meeting bringing together delegates from
24 countries from five continents. Never seen before
in this industry!
Advisory Board Members from all continents are
shaping the future of this Council with me, with energy
and passion! For more information, visit
www.globalccu.com
This global organisation links senior level members
to their peers to support each other, share best and
innovative practices, benchmark and exchange ideas
based on the principles of co-learning, co-sharing,
co-research and co-building for today’s and the
next generation of Corporate Universities.
